Out of all the Chinese places in the area, this is my go-to. Or my delivery-to... Place. Thing... I get delivery because where I work, I'm alone. Lonely guy. :( hehe. The customers keep me busy yay! Their delivery times are always on point. They usually tell me if they're busy and when they might be coming with time frames. And they're usually accurate. My usual appetizers: Steam dumplings or spare ribs. The steam dumplings? Mmmmm.... The wrap's texture is just perfect in my opinion and there's a good amount of filling: meat, veggies, and other mystery stuff haha. The spare ribs are greasy and fatty, just the way I like em! Though sometimes I might have 1 rib that barely has any meat on it... The dishes I've tried so far: General Tso Chicken, Neptunes catch in birds nest, moo shoo pork and chicken. I saw someone say that their General Tso Chicken was 2/3 batter. I'm sorry to hear that, but in my own experience, it was completely different. The batter was like 1/10 of the chunks for me. The flavor was similar with your usual General Tso Chicken though. Neptunes Catch was DELICIOUS. Some of you may not like the dried crispy noodles, it's not the same as your usual "House Pan Fried Noodles". It's different. But they fill it up with all kinds of meats and veggies and sauce, such a great combination. The moo shoo pork and chicken wasn't bad and it goes great with the pancakes + hoisin sauce. I've ordered from them around 10 times so far and they've never disappointed me. Great place!

Simply the best Chinese place around! All top quality meats and fresh vegetables. Everything is made fresh to order! They don't half ass anything here! Fast friendly service. You will NEVER find low grade or poorly cook meats here like all the other places! Well worth driving too, good portions and prices!

Very standard chinese food and pretty ok sushi. Probably the best option in the area but nothing to write home about.

Great for couples or small groups. The Pearl River and California roll were great, and the rest of what we got was awesome too. .Jenny sent us out the door with a free quart of soup for my mom in law who comes here regularly.

Average American versions of Chinese food. Sushi is pretty decent. One of the better places in the area but nothing to get excited about.

Best Chinese around. They don't deliver to me and I go out of my way to go pick it up. Our order is always right, always good and almost always has some kind of freebie in it.

I ordered a very simple dish (shrimp and lobster sauce that night ) food is too salty ! I don't know why ! They should have a standard putting the salt to the food ! I don't think t am go back to this Resturant again !

China Taste is far beyond exceeding the 4 1/2 star rating they currently have. Lets start with the basics: they deliver, the sushi is ALWAYS fresh, the portions are large, the owners are super friendly and the prices are on point. I can say that I have delved into just about everything on the menu because its always nice to broaden your horizons. Sushi Faves: California, Tuna, Avocado, Baltimore Roll Chinese Food Faves: Spicy Shrimp, Beef & Broccoli, Kam Pao Chicken, Szechuan Beef, Egg Rolls, WONTON SOUP! I recommend eating at this family owned restaurant that provides great service, along with great food. A personal "Xie Xie" (Thank you) China Taste for far exceeding my expectations each and every visit!

Yum! !!! Really good food at a decent price. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Service was excellent. We will definitely return. P.S. When the menu says spicy hot, it really is. :-)

My friends took me to this place the first time and then I keep coming to it. I'm addicted to Asian food and this place is near my office, thus, I often come for some Chinese dishes. I like their warm decoration, always feel like at home. The service is good, they are helpful and friendly.

Wow - another big miss from Yelpers North of Baltimore. It does amaze me what passes for good Chinese food, in general though. Won Ton soup was just wrong. Beef-based broth, and the pork looked and tasted like mystery meat. Left 1/2 of the cup. My wife had the Hot & Sour, which was at least resembled normal Hot & Sour soup, and was probably the best thing going. Onto the egg rolls - not too greasy, but 90% cabbage filled with a strange smokey flavor. Kung Pao Chicken with fried rice was also a big disappointment. Chunks of chicken had a strange texture, and the majority of the dish was water chestnuts. Fried rice was off too. Szechuan Beef was surprisingly lacking flavor. Prices are very reasonable, and service was friendly, if not attentive. With that said, no chance of returning., despite being conveniently located for us.

I was pleasantly surprised with the food at China Taste. I've lived in the area for 4 years and have never been, we usually do the same place over and over, but they always have a wait on Saturday. The first thing I noticed was the outdated interior of the restaurant, it could really use a face lift. Other than that, we were impressed. The super meal comes with soup, spring rolls, entree, rice, and ice cream at the end all of $10.95. We would definitely go back and try some more dishes.

Tasty, affordable, and reliable. The menu is large but the quality is superb and portions are always at least two meals worth. While the decor may be a little older, it looks exactly like it did when my grandmother brought me here for the wonton soup, so I hope it never changes.

Although the place is a set director's dream to shoot for a sequel of "Big trouble in little China" rest assure the food is good. Just stay away from breaded entrees. The general tso chicken pieces were so huge, I was sad to find that it was 2/3 breading :-(

My favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. The service is always great and the people working there are very friendly. The food is the main reason I go there. I have never had a bad meal there. I usually go for lunch between 11-3 and you can get a great deal for around $5 or less. I really enjoyed the shrimp dishes. They are spiced nicely and the shrimp is a nice size. You can stay there and drink the tea and talk with your friends and family and no one will bother you. It is a little gem in a small shopping center in Perry Hall that is worth trying. And the best part is you get so much food you will have leftovers for later....or take them to work the next day and make everyone jealous as you fill the lunch room with such a mouth watering smell. I guarantee they will ask you what you are eating and where you got it from. It looks and smells that good!

Wow, this place is so good. My husband and I went the day we got married, for lunch, but that was years ago. I don't know why we never went back. Well, the other night, we went back. I've only tried their Japanese menu, and my husband has only tried their Chinese menu. He had shrimp fried rice that looked just about perfect--not too greasy, lots of vegetables, topped with a few bean sprouts, and lots of big, fat shrimp. My miso soup was some of the best I've ever had. It had lots of seaweed, which I love, and lots of miso. I also had a number of vegetable sushi rolls and some seaweed salad. I took some home for leftovers. It was really wonderful, and cheap, and the place is cute too.

This restaurant has recently changed ownership and the changes are quite evident. After about 3 trips here I feel confident recommending this place. The dinner specials come with soup and an appetizer sampling of three individual pieces. This is a great idea and great value. I feel the food has been competitively priced, nicely cooked and complimented by prompt friendly service. I do not recommend the sushi here, only the main menu, I have found the sushi sub par and lacking.

I've been coming to China Taste for years. It's a nice quiet place where you can carry on a conversation. They have tables, booths, and even have areas for larger groups. They have Chinese food as well as Sushi. I don't eat Sushi, but what I've seen come from the Sushi Bar side to the dining room looks pretty good. I like their Szechuan Beef, and they have it two ways. Regular Szechuan style as well as Crispy Szechuan Beef. tonight I got a combination plate. $11.95 get you a choice of soup (I got wonton), a spring roll, a piece of shrimp toast, a crab wonton, chicken fried rice and an entree. I got the regular szechuan beef. I ordered it spicy, after all isn't that the point of szechuan? It was a decent portion had great flavor and a good amount of beef in addition to the carrot, celery, onion and some mung been sprouts. the brown sauce was not heavy and well spiced. You also get your choice of ice cream or sherbet and a fortune cookie. The food was well paced so you didn't have to hurry or wait for the next course. The waitress was friendly and kept the timing of the food just right. The water glass was never empty. I couldn't eat the rice so I asked for it to be wrapped up. The bag with the rice also included some wonton soup and a few fortune cookies. A nice touch! I've tried other entrees and have never been disappointed. If I order the same thing, it is a consistent flavor each time. Nice atmosphere, good food, friendly service and reasonable prices. All in all a great dining experience.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
